1500 pages were silkscreened with an identical orange target pattern. The target, bound like a book and framed on a wooden structure, was hung on a tree in the Catskill Mountains and shot at with bow and arrow more than 5,000 times.
The concretion of a material reality -the target- is eclipsed by the central importance of process and learning through our work as an ongoing evolution in awareness. In order to shoot more than 5000 times, we let our consciousness breath and our cluttered minds be still and silent. Through the art process, the target became lighter and less consistent, its core slowly disappearing while at the same time our aim, our strength and our collaboration improving.
Shooting stopped when we could hear the piercing of the broad tip arrows on the wooden surface.
